Ammonium nitrate calcium (CAN) fertilizer is a combination of calcium (CaCO3) and ammonium nitrate (NH4NO3) materials. Calcium and nitrogen are two important and necessary ingredients for plants.

Most of Iran’s soils except a few areas such as northern area, are alkaline and by adding this fertilizer to the soil, the soil pH will be adjusted and the useful elements in the soil are absorbed better.

Another advantage of using CAN includes, increasing the weight and quality of product. can be applied universally and is suitable for all crops, and even decorative flowers.

by using this fertilizer, the water consumption of plant decreases and saves water so the cost of water will be reduced.

This fertilizer can be used for all soils and does not cause alkaline soil and reduce the absorption of materials; moreover, the water penetrates better in the soil and nitrogen is transmitted more easily to the root.

 

Applications of Calcium Ammonium Nitrate CAN:

This fertilizer can be used for legumes, glandular products such as onions, potatoes, fruits such as pomegranates, citrus fruits, apples, for decorative flowers such as roses and cloves. CAN fertilizer is also used for all kinds of cereals and fibers.

CAN fertilizer containing nitrogen and calcium can be used for nutrition of products in the field and greenhouse due to the nutritional requirement of plants and soil testing.

To know the exact amount of this fertilizer the soil test must first be performed so that the amount of calcium should be injected into the soil.
