Polystyrenes are produced in 3 different grades: HIPS grade which is impact resistant, ordinary grade or GPPS and polystyrene EPS or expansion.

GPPS polystyrene is a thermoplastic polymer, the reason for the development of this type of polymer is its transparency, ductility and low price.

The most important feature of GPPS1160 is its good thermal resistance as well as its high molecular weight.

GPPS1160 polystyrene is produced domestically and in Tabriz Petrochemical.

Its main applications include the production of insulation sheets, trays, thermoforming sheets, foam and egg boxes.
