Heavy Density Polyethylene 60507 (High Density Polyethylene HDPE)

Category:

Description

The classification of polyethylenes is based on their density, and considering that their grade and application are different, the method of formation of each is also different.

If we want to divide polyethylenes into three main grades based on density:

  1. Heavy Polyethylene HD

  2. LLD linear lightweight polyethylene

  3. Lightweight polyethylene LD

  • One of the characteristics of polymers is that they are non-toxic and are used in the food industry.

  • Also LLDPE and LDPE are used in cases such as thermal insulation of packaging film.

general polyethylene types

– Basic division of polyethylene ▪ HDPE high density polyethylene ▪ LDPE low density polyethylene ▪ LLDPE linear lightweight polyethylene ▪ VLDPE very light polyethylene ▪ UHMWPE polyethylene with very high molecular weight (Applications: fabric) Such as knee replacement and hip replacement) ▪ COPOLYMERS Ethylene-vinyl ester copolymers ▪ IONOMERS ionizers ▪ PEX polyethylene with width joints ▪ PERT heat-resistant polyethylene (application of hot water pipes)
Polyethylenes are a group of thermoplastic polymers and become liquid as soon as they reach the melting point, and also the freezing process occurs as soon as they reach the freezing point. The chemical synthesis of ethylene from crude oil can be called polyethylene, abbreviated PE or polythene. The presence of catalyst and polymerization causes a certain index of crosslinking and molecular weight as well as the degree of branching in it to be precisely controlled. Two hydrogen atoms are chained next to two carbons. LDPE pipes have intermolecular strength and their tensile strength is lower. The production method of this type of pipe is radical polymerization, so this type of pipe is used in places where flexibility is required.
