Description of GPPS 1161:

GPPS 1161 material is an ordinary Polystyrene. Polystyrene is divided into four main categories.

Expanded Polystyrene (EPS), Ordinary polystyrene (GPS), (High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) and Extruded polystyrene (XPS).

Grade 1161 is in category of Ordinary polystyrene which have the most usage and known as crystal in Iran.

Features of GPPS 1161:

Ordinary polystyrene generally has high impact strength and proper fluidity. These materials have high Dielectric and high strength, so they used in electronic products. Another feature of these materials is high transparency.

Application of GPPS 1161:

Application of GPPS 1161 include, producing PS foam and transparent display covers for VTR. Another use of this polystyrene is to produce home appliances.

As mentioned, because of the dielectric properties of these materials, it is also used in the manufacture of electronic components.
